This cool little kit is the one I use in my home the most. Actually, my son uses it more than me!

It's a simple 2-Wireless Wall Switch System he has mounted right next to his bed and in his playroom, with all the modules he needs to control the lights in his rooms. With the touch of a button, he can dim his bedside lamp, turn on his sweet Monkey-Surfboard string of lights and even turn on and off the overhead lights!

It's all very easy. If a 5-year-old can use it, so can you!

Well, sort of, that is. I've actually been using X10 gear since I was in fifth grade, believe it or not. So working here is a dream come true. Here's how I use my X10:

Between working late and trying to hang out with friends, I live a busy life. Sometimes I don't get home until late in the evening. I like to use our ActiveHome PC software to set my lights on schedules that match mine. Some of my lights are set to automatically come on at night and turn off in the morning. Other lights I have set to come on at certain times. And, before bed, I turn off my lights with my little remote, which I keep bedside.

Let me tell you about my favorite kit...

It's a simple Auto-Lighting Kit you can use indoors or out. I use my stuff in a town house at the moment, and have a Motion Sensor and two Socket Rocket Screw-In Lamp Modules set up on my front porch for when people walk up at night. The instant anyone sets foot on my front steps, there is an instant pathway of light. Not only does it light the way for my friends, but it also deters strangers. And since I don't have to keep my porch light on all night, it saves energy, too.

I tend to come home late at night, and it gets pretty dark walking up my stairs. So, I've set up a remote lighting system.

All I have to do is click a button on my Keychain Remote as I walk up the steps, and the lights come on - inside and out.

Hi guys! I'm Ben from Marketing. I used my X10 gear to solve a little problem I had.

You see, my girlfriend likes to read before bed. Since I have to get up bright and early for work, this is a problem. I'm a light sleeper, and can't get my ZZZZ's without dim lighting or darkness.

So I brought home a simple Transceiver, a Slimline Wireless Wall Switch and a dimmable Lamp Module. Now I'm not a gadget guy, but somehow I set this simple system up and had it running in under five minutes. Problem solved! Now before bed she dims her reading lamp to a mutually agreeable level each night. She can read, and I can get my beauty sleep!

It is real easy. Just plug a lamp into the Lamp Module and screw the Socket Rocket into any light socket and you can turn them off and on with the Wall Switch. Hello! I'm Nares the graphic guy! I've been told that I'm somewhat of a party animal. So, I found the perfect use for my X10 gear.

I use two Appliance Modules to make my parties rock! One is used to control my disco ball and the other for my fog machine. All I have to do is hit a button on my little PalmPad Remote, and PRESTO! I've got the perfect dance floor, with lights spinning on the ceiling and fog pouring into my living room!

I use the remote to control the lights, too. Just goes to show, X10 really is for everyone!

I just plugged my disco ball and fog machine into my Appliance Modules and now I don't have the leave the party to control the effects. Hi guys! I'm Nakita, and this is how I use X10:

I use x10 home automation for use with my halogen and incandescent (regular light bulb) lighting. Since the lamps are behind my couches and crawling isn't an option on my furniture, I use a simple remote-controlled lighting system to turn them on, off and even dim them when we watch movies at night.

All you have to do is plug the Transceiver into the wall and extend the antenna. Then, plug any incandescent lamp into the dimmable lamp module, and a halogen lamp or any other appliance into the Appliance Module and you've got instant control! It's really simple. I don't like much having to do more than necessary when I get up for work in the mornings. When the alarm on my MiniTimer 2 goes off, not only does my bedside lamp come on, to wake me up, but my coffee pot starts brewing my coffee. It makes getting up a lot easier, or should I say sleeping in a lot harder.

By the time I get out of the shower, my overhead light is on so I can get ready for my day.

Hi guys, I'm Jacquie, the Director of Finance here at X10.

I have two wireless wall switches set up for the lighting in my home. One is in the bedroom, and one in the living room. Each night when either my husband or myself go to bed prior to the other, we have light winking. He turns on the bedroom lights for me from the living room, then I turn off the entire system, and he turns them back on again. We continue this for a few and giggle!

I can also dim my bedside lamp to the perfect level for reading. It's a nice, simple kit.

I would have to say that this is my favorite kit:

I use two tiny, wireless, color cameras at the front and back doors of my home. They send video to my TV, so I can always see who is visiting. It helps with ignoring unwanted visitors. Also, if I am away or sleeping, I have it set up so it records video of the cameras to my VCR, ONLY when there is motion detected by my motion sensors, for later viewing.

Hello everyone! My name is Rob, and I'm the IT guy at X10. I use our products every day. But let me tell you about one of the more interesting ways I've used X10:

I used my Wide Lens Camera System to capture the birth of a foal from my wife's favorite mare. We set the system up because we did not want to miss the birth, and also did not want to stress the mare out. We mounted the camera inside of the mare's stall so it would send and save all of the images to my computer. We actually got to watch the entire birth of our new colt live on my computer. It was pretty amazing. By the way, his name is Duke and he is healthy, happy and spirited. Duke is now almost two years old and we still get to look at the video of him as a baby, we hope to start riding him this winter.

Hey, this is Andy, X10 Veteran Web Designer. Here is my favorite X10 kit and how I use it...

I live in an apartment with several roommates who always seem to have visitors stop by whether anyone is home or not. I would always find little notes stuck to my door. Now I've attached my own note to the door that says “Greetings, you're on camera. Please leave a message”.

What I did was set up a color XCam above my door with a Motion Sensor outside my door. I then connected an Audio/Video Receiver to my TV and a VCR Commander to my VCR. So now when anyone stops by, like friends, the landlord, or the mail man, when no one is home they can leave us a video voice mail that I can review when I get home.

Just mount the camera outside the front door, plug the receiver into your TV, and you'll be able to watch your camera feed as you relax on your couch. Hi guys! I'm Sharon, the HR Coordinator here at X10. I use the wireless color camera system to keep an eye on my two puppies, who stay in my apartment for up to 5 hours by themselves during the work day.

Not only does it help to see what they're getting into and who actually had the potty accident, but also I'm able to check on their safety throughout the day from my office computer. If I see they're in danger, I can always just call my neighbor and ask her to check in on them.

As a matter of fact, I use the wireless color camera system when I'm on vacation, too. No matter where I am in the world, I can just get onto any computer with an Internet connection, and see my home and puppies over the Internet.

Being a full-time mom and a full-time Customer Service Representative at X10 is a lot of work. When I get home, I need some time to unwind. Fortunately, my baby often feels the same way. When I set her down to nap in her crib upstairs, I always get a bit worried.

That's why I set up this little kit, to help put my worries aside. Here's how I use X10:

I've got a tiny, wireless camera mounted above the crib, pointing down at my sleeping baby. I've got an Audio/Video Receiver hooked to my TV downstairs. When I'm watching my favorite shows, I always keep the PIP (picture-in-picture) feature on my TV, so I can constantly see that my baby is still sound asleep.

All I did was mount the camera on the ceiling with two included screws and plug it in. Then I hooked the receiver to my TV. Then I realized that I've got all that stuff sitting around the house. Someone had been trashing the fountain in my yard at night and when we were away, and I wanted to find the culprit. So, I brought home the simple components from work - a simple wired surveillance camera and a motion-activated recording kit.

It worked like a charm, and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw who was to blame!

Simply mount the camera indoors or out, wherever you need surveillance. Then run the cord back to your TV and plug in the power supply. I recently moved into a remodeled bedroom in my house. Of course it would be too easy to have cable in the room already! Instead, the only cable outlet is downstairs in the living room! But since I work at X10, this wasn't a problem.

I just used my Wireless Video Sender to transmit cable TV from the cable box down in the living room all the way up to my bedroom. Now I can change the channels and watch all my favorite shows.

All you have to do is hook the sender to a cable box, DVD player, TiVo box or any other video source. Then, hook the receiver to a second TV anywhere in the house, up to 100 feet away (through walls, floors, doors, etc.).
