Hi guys! I'm Nakita, and this is how I use X10:

I use x10 home automation with my halogen and incandescent (regular light bulb) lighting. Since the lamps are behind my couches and crawling isn't an option on my furniture, I use a simple remote-controlled lighting system to turn them on, off and even dim them when we watch movies at night.

What I really love is how easy this kit is to set up. All you have to do is plug the Transceiver into the wall and extend the antenna. Then, plug any incandescent lamp into the dimmable Lamp Module, and a halogen lamp or any other appliance into the Appliance Module and you've got instant control!

The remote is a Platinum 5-in-1 Universal Remote, which not only allows you to control your lights and appliances, but can also control your TV, cable box, DVD player and more! Plus, you can dim the incandescent lamp with the touch of a button.

So now I never have to get up to turn on or off the lights, and I can put away all my old remotes and use this single, sleek do-it-all remote!

Oh, and you can even plug another appliance or lamp into the Transceiver (which doubles as an appliance module), and control that, too!
