Details: The DW534 sends a radio frequency (RF) Signal to any X10 Home Security System's Base Receiver. You can add up to 16 door/Window Sensors to the systems. When a door or window is opened the Sensor sends a wireless signal to the Base Receiver. When the system is NOT armed, the Base Receiver chimes when a door or window is opened. When the system IS armed, the alarm is tripped when a door or window is opened. Sensors send a self-checking; transmission approximately every 90 minutes. The Base Receiver will not arm if a Door/Window Sensor hasn't reported in (can be overridden by pressing the Base Receiver's Accept Button). There are no code wheels or tiny switches to set (for ease of installation). A random code is automatically generated during set-up, which uniquely identifies each Sensor. The Base Receiver logs-in each of these random codes as the net sequential zone (16 zones). The sensor uses a standard 9 volt alkaline battery to provide 1 year of operation. There are two screw terminals for connection to the magnetic switch (supplied). There is a Normally Open/normally Closed selector switch (inside the Battery compartment) which selects the type of magnetic switches to be used (Normally Closed supplied). Other switches can be used, such as pressure mats, glass-break detectors etc.
