VCR Commander II also works with multiple camera systems (up to four cameras per VCR Commander). If a person starts walking around your house, as they enter Zone 1 the camera monitoring Zone 1 will turn on, and the VCR Commander II starts your VCR recording. As they enter Zone 2, the second camera will turn on (camera 1 will turn off) and the VCR will continue to record what's happening in Zone 2. As the person completes a trip around your home (ex. visiting Zones 1-4), the tape will show everything as they move between all four zones.

NEW - LEARNS MOTION SENSOR CODES! The VCR Commander II allows you to learn motion sensor codes (see control panel on right), so you can have the same motion sensor turn on a camera & turn on/record the VCR. (Solves the problem of needing double motion sensors; 1 for camera, 1 for VCR Commander)

When no motion has been detected from the motion detector for 5 minutes - the VCR Commander II will turn the VCR OFF or STOP recording. This will make sure your tape only shows the action and reduces the amount of blank, no action time.

NEW - HOME & AWAY MODE! The VCR Commander II allows you to operate in a home & away mode. In "away" mode, the VCR Commander will turn on the VCR and record the action based on being activated by a motion sensor. In "home" mode, when motion is detected - instead of turning on the VCR and recording, the VCR Commander will chime, to let you know about the action.

How it works & directions for setup The new VCR Commander learns a sequence of up to 3 different IR commands (labeled PWR, REC, PLAY, and STOP) and up to 4 different motion sensor signals. You teach the IR commands by selecting the button on the VCR Commander II (UX23A) to learn for and then using the VCR remote control to emit that command to the VCR Commander II. Learning motion sensor codes is done in a similar manner.

When the On command from the programmed X10 address is received, the VCR Commander II will issue the programmed IR sequence to the VCR through the IR emitter cable. More On commands (signals of further motion) within 5 minutes will be ignored. If no more On commands are seen within 5 minutes (no further motion), the VCR Commander II will issue the IR "Stop" command. After the "Stop" command is issued an On command will start the cycle over again.

About the EagleEye Motion Sensor

A small, discreet wireless motion detector that works in conjunction with your X10 cameras and the VCR Commander II console to automate your VCR's recording. When the EagleEye senses motion, it turns on your X10 camera and tells the VCR Commander to start your VCR recording. When no motion is sensed after a period of time, it shuts off your camera and the VCR stops recording. It's the best way to automate your system!

About the Remote Chime

The Remote Chime is designed to work with the EagleEye Motion Sensor, ActiveEye Motion Sensor and the motion sensors integrated into the FloodCam and Dual Floodlight Outdoor Motion Monitor. When any of these motion sensors detect someone approaching, it triggers the Remote Chime to sound off, letting you know that someone's in the vicinity. The Remote Chime can also be used with the ActiveHome two-way computer interface to chime on the hour.

About the Transceiver

The powerful Transceiver Module is the relay for any wireless X10 system. It allows you to remotely control any household appliance or light that is plugged into an Appliance Module, Lamp Module, Wall Switch Module or any of our many other lighting and appliances products. It’s also the relay when switching between camera views in a multi-camera system. Simply plug the Transceiver into any normal wall socket and, using an X10 remote, control your lamps, appliances and cameras from across the room — or the other side of the house. Even remotely control a light or appliance that's plugged directly into the Transceiver!
