How do I put music on my home computer? If you've never put music on your computer before, now's the time to start! It's easy, it's fun, and with Lola your computer will become a jukebox for your whole house.
What do I need?
You also need to have some free space on your computer. How much does it take? Well, about 50 megabytes per album. That means that you can fit about 350 CDs in 20 gigabytes of hard disk space. The more space you have on your computer, the more CDs you can copy!
How long will it take? The easiest way to get started is to just copy a couple whenever you have some free time. Since you can do other things while a copying a CD, you'll have all of your music done before you know it!
How do I do it?
I have Windows Media Player 9. I have RealOne Player.
To get start copying music to your computer, run Windows Media Player. Click the button on the left side of the window to go to the "Copy from CD" screen.
Put the music CD you want to copy into your computer's CD-ROM drive. Windows Media Player will automatically start copying the CD.
While it's copying your CD, Windows Media Player looks up your CD's information over the Internet. All you have to do is wait for the CD to finish -- Windows Media Player will eject the CD so you can put in another one to copy. You'll have your whole music collection on your computer in no time! To get start copying music to your computer, run RealOne Player. Then, put a music CD in your computer's CD-ROM drive. Real Player will ask if you want to save the CD on your computer. Click "Yes" and you're on your way.
You can watch the Real Player save your CD in the CD window. You'll get an idea of how long it's going to take by watching how long it takes to do each song.
While your CD is being copied, click the "Get CD Info" button at the bottom of the window and choose "Get CD Info" from the menu that opens. This will get your CD's information from the Internet. Now all you have to do is wait for Real to finish copying!
When your CD is done being saved, click "Eject" to take it out of your CD-ROM drive. Whenever you're ready, just put another CD in and start copying. You'll have your whole music collection on your computer in no time!

How does Lola connect my PC with my TV & Sound System? Lola uses either a 20 foot cable or a 2.4GHz wireless transmitter and receiver to connect your PC with your TV and Sound System. If your computer is located less than 20 feet from your TV and Sound System, the direct wired option may be best for you. When your computer is located in a different room or on a different floor, the wireless option is the way to go.
If you have either an S-Video or Composite Video output available, choose the Lola Wireless TV Output system.
If your computer does not have an S-Video or Composite Video output, you will need to use the Lola Wireless VGA system.
