The XCam is essentially a mini-camera that plugs into a VideoSender
(which plugs into the wall) to send real-time video to a TV, VCR, or monitor up to
100 feet away. Thats one-third the length of a football field. Simply plug the
VideoReceiver into the back of the TV, VCR, or monitor you wish, and voila, live
video appears. The two units are wireless and talk to each other using a 2.4-gigahertz
radio signal.
The XCam can keep an eye on a room, like where all your guests are
making fools of themselves at your party. With the camera connected to the VCR, the
recorded footage would be invaluable the next time one of them steps out of line. The XCam
can also focus on a door, entryway, yard, and swimming pool, almost anything. The XCam is
the perfect way to stop destruction before it starts by monitoring the playroom. If you
have picture-in-picture on your TV, you can watch the kids and still see the game or your
favorite show.
"This is your chance to have fun with wireless color video in a
way youve never experienced before," said Alex Peder, President of X10 (USA)
retail sales division. The XCam is perfect for the times when your home can seem a little
small and routine. Come on, indulge yourself, live a little for crying out loud."
XCam Components
