A Holiday to Remember
Every year we look for ways to make our holidays more special, more memorable, and more fun. Some people will
go all out. They put candles on the table, Christmas carols on the stereo; they fill the house with
the scent of cinnamon everywhere, put out colored lights, and the works. Most of us have spent many
hours trying to make sure everything is just right for that holiday feast. But wait - why not use
some technology in the process as well?
One customer, Barry Nelson found a way to really make his Christmas celebration
memorable. And he didnt have to be there every second to make sure it went over. He started
with the HawkEye II Motion Sensor, which he positioned on the
front porch. He set the motion sensor to turn on the porch Christmas lights as soon as his
unsuspecting guests arrived.
He also set up his MP3 Anywhere to play the
Christmas carols. That way he could listen to hours of Christmas music by many different artists,
and he wouldnt have to play DJ.
"As the guests arrive, theyre surprised by the lights and music, but
theyre suddenly in a Christmas spirit," Barry reports. "And its made our
Christmas feast something special."
And finally, when everybody was gathered, and the dinner was in full swing, Barry
turned on his XCam2 for a permanent record of the feast.
"Heck" says Barry. "I sometimes even hook up the battery pack and strap it to the
dog so we can get family pictures from his point of view."
Needless to say, Barrys holiday diners are the favorites of family and friends.
And later on in the night, after theyve had enough to eat, they take the eggnog and sit in the
living room and watch the video of the Christmas dinner.
I"My favorite part is watching us from the dogs perspective," Barry said.
X10 knows how to bring quality and fun to the Christmas dinner. Even to the dog.
