Would You Like Fries with that XCam2?
Owning and running a fast-food franchise is not exactly an easy vocation. So much is involved. Theres the hiring, training and firing of employees, customer service, payroll, and inventory. Dont forget the inventory. Its the equivalent of two or three fulltime jobs all rolled up into one. How can one person keep an eye on everything at once?
The owner of a Dairy Queen in Kirkland, Washington struggled with just such a question. How could he keep an eye on his business without going out and buying an
expensive, elaborate multi-camera system? That would then require hiring someone to come out and install it, stringing wires throughout the building, and then presenting the owner
with a rather hefty bill.
One day while surfing the net he came across an ad for the XCam2 and decided to purchase a couple for his business.
Using XCam2 with addressable power supplies and the ScanPad, the owner set up the two security cameras. One camera he set facing the front counter, and the other camera he set up facing the drive- through. That way he could have a full view of the front counter, and the back and the drive-through. And he could keep an eye on everything right in his office in the back of the building. And with XRay Vision, he could monitor the company from home too. That freed up large amounts of time that he could be spending on other projects.
"It was very economical, very easy to use," the owner repeated over and over again. And it was so inconspicuous that most of the staff didnt even
know it was there. Of those that did know it was there, they barely paid attention to it.
Thanks to the XCam2, one of those multi fulltime jobs is being done remotely, and the owner can stay in his office and work on his other fulltime jobs all rolled up into one.
