A Moment to Remember
November 12, 2001 - How do you tell her you love her, and that you want to spend the rest of your life with her? Well, there are as many ways of saying "I love you" as there are couples in the world. The trick is to find a way that the two of you will remember for the rest of your lives together.
Marc and Donna had been dating for well over a year, and Marc decided that it was time to take their relationship to the next level. In other words, to "pop the big question."
But how to do it? How would he ask Donna in a way that was both romantic and memorable? He put his mind to work and came up with a plan.
While decorating the house for Christmas, Marc hid two XCam2s in the living room behind some of the decorations. He made sure that they were well hidden, but that there was absolutely nothing blocking their view.
On Christmas Eve, he and his sweetie stayed in and watched a movie. After the movie, they planned to each open one present from each other. They dimmed the lights and left
on only the tree lights and the decorative lights around the house. Then Marc picked which present Donna was going to open. He handed her a fairly large box. "Donna couldnt imagine what
it was," Marc remembered.
When Donna opened the box, inside there was another smaller box, neatly wrapped in the same paper as the first box. She giggled at Marcs little joke, and opened that box.
Inside that box was another box, also neatly wrapped. So Donna opened that box next. And when she saw the next box she could barely breath. "Her face turned ashen and she couldnt catch her breath."
Some of you are probably way ahead on this one. The next box was a very small box, but it contained a very expensive diamond engagement ring. Donna broke down into tears. With
quivering hands, she put on the ring. Thats right, she put the ring on.
"For the rest of my life Ill have that moment on video," Marc says. "And that moment is priceless. Ill live it over and over again as long as I
live."
Were pretty sure that Donna will be reliving that moment a thousand times as well. And thanks to XCam2 and a little planning, Marc and Donna are going to have a great memory
that they can pass down to their children and to their grandchildren, and to their great-grandchildren for generations to come.
