Car Keys and Car Keying
So you go to work in the morning, you park in the company parking lot, and you assume that everythings going to be okay. But thats not always the case. Just ask Kenneth Fukuyama, who found his SUV keyed one day when he got off work.
Kenneth went to work, parked is SUV in his company space, and headed off to the office. And when he came back to his car after work that evening, he discovered that his SUV had been keyed. When something like that happens you figure
that it can be anybody. Kids, pranksters, whoever. "I took it home and buffed out the scratch so it looked ok," Kenneth said. But a week later? "The other side got keyed!"
Obviously this gets old real fast. "I just got my XCam2 and put it in my RC Helicopter to see how it worked," Kenneth said. "It was pretty cool seeing myself on the ground from
my helicopters point of view." But that gave him another idea. "I took the XCam2 out of the helicopter and mounted it in the visor of my SUV. Then I took my receiver and connected it to my laptop through the interface."
In the middle of the week, while doing some paperwork, Kenneth caught the perpetrator. He had his laptop sitting on the desk, and "then I saw the person
scratch my car." Thats right, he saw it as it happened. "It happens to be an employee from another department."
Kenneth played back the file to the fellow employee. Needless to say, he was quite surprised.
"The guy was a few sandwiches short of a picnic," Kenneth said, "and I was able to make him pay for my damage without reporting him. He has enough problems of his own and I felt sorry for the guy." But Kenneth was able to fix this problem and not have to worry anymore. XCam2 was looking out for him.
