Our Deepest Sympathies ...
September 11, 2001 -
Let us start off by saying that we here at X10 are at a loss for words. We are as numb as everyone else in the country as we watch the news filter in little by little. There are no words to describe our distress at this moment.
Youve already heard the news about the hijackings and the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center Buildings. Youve also heard that its the worst tragedy in American history, more momentous than the attack on Pearl Harbor, and the biggest invasion on U.S. soil since 1812, when America went to war with England in the "the War of 1812."
We at X10 wish to extend our sympathies first and foremost to the families and loved ones of those who have been directly affected by this attack. To everyone whos lost loved ones, we offer our prayers and tears. We also wish to extend our sympathies to the nation as a whole. Nothing like this has ever happened in our history, and it will definitely leave deep emotional and psychological scars for centuries to come. As one of our workers stated, "This changes everything."
We also want to thank all of those heroes out there who have risked their own lives to help out in this moment of crisis. It never ceases to amaze us how people can pull together in such remarkable ways in times like these. We thank those across America who have donated money, and blood, and whatever else they have to ease the pain of those suffering.
We wish our best to those who are left with the business of running our country. We stand behind our president as he guides us through these emotional times. We wish all those leaders who must now bring our country together the very best. And we hope that those in charge of finding the terrorists will do so quickly.
On a more personal note, X10 was indirectly affected by the tragedy as well. A friend of one of the X10 employees was an American Airlines employee on the hijacked flight from Boston this morning, and his death has hit very close to home.
We would also like to encourage anyone who runs a web site to follow the example of other sites across the country, and post links and instructions showing citizens how they can contact their local Red Cross to donate blood or money, or both. Our website has posted this information also, directly below. Please please please, contact the Red Cross, and do what you can to help out those who desperately need it at this moment.
At this moment, most of us feel a bit hopeless somewhat powerless, and probably very angry. We can do something positive about those emotions by getting involved in any way we can. Lets pull together as a nation and show the terrorists that, they may have hurt us, they havent undone us.
Here is that information we promised you, and if you cant get through because the servers are busy, please keep trying:
