Shall We Not
Revenge?
Scaring the pants off em' makes for good laugh!
It was a
comeuppance long past due. For years Tims little brother Robbie had played every
imaginable practical joke on him, and now Tim was out to even the score in one fell swoop.
In order to get back at Robbie, Tim meticulously set
up his sweetest of all revenge, by rigging their house using ActiveHome and XCam2
from X10. His first step was to install an XCam2 camera in Robbies room so that he
could monitor his brothers reactions, and ensure that his timing was absolutely
perfect.
One night while the two of them were alone in the
house, Tim remotely turned on Robbies CD player to a "boy-band" song at a
very high volume. (This was especially evil, as Robbie hates boy-bands.) After Robbie
turned off the CD, Tim bided his time for a few minutes until everything went back to
normal. Then he set off a portable CD player that he had hidden in Robbies room, and
cued the CD to a scary groan. When Robbie looked under the bed, Tim had set up a motion detector that then activated a mechanical hand
that seemed as if it was trying to reach out and grab Robbies arm. As Robbie ran out
of the room, another motion sensor placed right outside the door shut off all the lights
in the house, and turned on a strobe light.
Robbie did what he usually did when he was
frightened, and ran into his parents room. (The parents room being a place of
security.) But when he opened the door, a cardboard cutout of Dracula dropped down from
the ceiling, confronting Robbie as he entered the room. In such panic, Robbie ran into
Tims room, where Tim ended the charade, and told Robbie that it was all him.
I guess you might say, "Revenge is a sort of
wild justice."
