Joshs ActiveHome Morning Wish
We get a lot of email from people anxious to tell us how they use our equipment in
their own personal way, and we love hearing those stories. Occasionally though, we
get email from someone telling us what they would do if they had our equipment. That
is the topic of todays profile. One of our young readers, Josh Duffy, emailed us
to tell us what he would like to do with our ActiveHome
products. We thought he had great ideas, and so we decided wed pass some of those
ideas on to you for your enjoyment.
Even at age 9, Josh seems to have the same problems getting out of bed
that the rest of us do. So thats what Josh decided to tell us about. How he would
use ActiveHome to start each morning, beginning with that 'oh-so-difficult-to-do -
getting out of bed. He has his own setup in mind to physically roust him from bed every
morning. "I would wake up each day to an automated bed-shaker that would be
controlled by ActiveHome," he told us. Not only would that make getting up a
little easier we thought, but it might also make "rise and shine" a lot
more fun.
"I would not have to turn on my lights," Josh continues,
"because that would already be done for me." Well Josh, thats one
thing weve had a lot of luck with - turning on and off just about any light.
"I would make a way for ActiveHome to have a nice warm shower
for me to get into" was Joshs plan as soon as he was physically out of bed.
"And then I would not be hungry because [ActiveHome] would already
cook my breakfast for me. I would have French toast with butter and sugar. When I heard
a bell it would be a five minute warning for me to hurry and brush my teeth and get
ready because [ActiveHome] was about to turn on my favorite cartoon, Mummies Alive.
Then, when the TV turns off automatically, I would know its time to go to
school."
Josh has his mornings all planned out for him, from the moment
ActiveHome wakes him up, to the time that ActiveHome gets him to school.
"I would have this cool thing because I dont think that
I would ever miss the bus and that would make my mom very pleased," Josh told
us. And then he adds... "My friends would think I was a pretty cool dude!"
Well, Josh, you may not have the shaking bed, or the technology to
fix you French toast every morning for breakfast, but we here at X10 think youre
already a cool dude! And be good to your parents and stay in school.
