We have a small, private pharmacy that caters to patients who want to be at home but need I.V.'s or other services normally provided only in hospital settings. Last month our pharmacy was broken into, robbed, and vandalized. We were closed at the time, and fortunately nobody was hurt. But to the police, no witnesses & no injuries meant the same as no case or investigation.
Ironically, the owner of a home that sits directly across our parking lot was using an X10 camera to monitor for vandalism and illegal use of our dumpsters that has become a recent problem. Days after our police report, he was watching his tape (compliments of his VCR Commander II) and he realized he had our entire robbery caught on tape----including a color picture of the thief and his vehicle!!
Needless to say, the police have renewed interest in our case, and we now have a huge variety of X10 based security cameras & gadgets throughout our building. We are so happy with this added level of security, that today I am online ordering systems for all of our homes. Many thanks X10!!
