We've always known that our products are a great help to humans. We didn't really consider that the family dogs may occasionally need our assistance too. Tasked with protecting their owner's large property, these 3 family dogs got some needed help from an unlikely source - us!

My wife and I live in the country and have always depended on our three dogs to let us know when someone is approaching our residence. Though they are all considered "house dogs", they do have access to our fenced-in front yard via a doggie door.

At least 50% of the time someone knocks on our door before the dogs are aware someone is here. I was always told that dogs have ten times the hearing that humans do. If they don't know when someone is in the area during regular hours (these dogs are not older dogs that have lost their hearing), than how about at night when we are all sleeping?

I purchased my first X10 system and installed it down by our driveway entrance, which activates both a chime and a light. It took a very short time for our dogs to relate the chime/light to "someone is here!" & then they jump into action. I am so sold on all of the X10 products that I am seriously considering becoming a professional dealer and installer for our area.
