Is that Your House,
or are You just Glad to See Me?
We all like to show off a little. Especially to old friends we havent seen in a
while. How many of us have gone on crash diets before attending our high school reunion
just so we could make an impression? And if it happens to be someone that were
interested in romantically, then we can get a little more carried away. Sometimes
well go to great lengths, and spend large amounts of money just to make that
impression.
Carl Todd got just such an opportunity; only he wasnt expecting it.
"A while back an old acquaintance dropped in on me unexpectedly," Carl said. And
this was a friend that he hadnt seen for over sixteen years.
Sixteen years is a long time, and so you can imagine that there was a lot
of catching up to do. So they spent some time together visiting, revisiting old times. It
was a great visit according to Carl. And as usually will happen during the course of the
evening, it came time to take her on the grand tour of the house.
"As I toured her the house," Carl says, "I explained that
it controlled heating and cooling, automatically." Of course it was also fun watching
her face as they would walk from room to room, and the lights would suddenly come on. Then
after they were out of the room, the lights would turn off. He also had a remote control
in his hands, where he could control the lights and various other appliances
automatically.
Needless to say, his friend was very impressed. According to Carl she was
so impressed that "she would like to go on a date after sixteen years." And how
does he feel about that? Well, here it is in his very own words. "Way to go ActiveHome. Thanks."
What can we say, were always ready to pitch in and help anyone get a
date, and to make that date exceptional. And think of how much money he saved. He could
have spent two or three times as much with a dating service, and he might not have had as
good of luck. But with us, he was able to impress her without even trying.
