Lately
theres been a lot of talk about conserving energy. With the rolling blackouts in
California and along the west coast, the whole nation is talking about power, and how to
conserve it.
Joe Messner considers himself frugal. Not just for the sake of
conserving power, but he likes to conserve his money as well. But he has figured out how
to conserve, and still live it up. "My ActiveHome
system is just the solution for my active lifestyle," Joe says. "Despite the
fact that I will be 75 on the first of March this year."
Even at 75, Joe wakes up at 5 AM every morning to his favorite radio
station, which has been activated by an ActiveHome macro. From there he works out a bit,
buffering his body with dumbbells and barbells and other weights. After that, he jumps
into his spa, which has been heating itself since earlier that morning, started by the
same macro.
After a little while in the spa, its time for Joe to have some
breakfast. And no breakfast would be complete without coffee. And there just happens to be
a fresh pot of coffee made. It seems that same ActiveHome macro started the coffee pot as
well. So Joe can sip his coffee, read his newspaper, and then get started on fixing
breakfast.
Joes living room is nice and warm, as its been slowly
heating for about an hour. The air is fresh as well, thanks to the air control system that
moves fresh air throughout the house.
"In other words," Joe says, "My entire home and life are
assisted by ActiveHome, which relieves me of the problems I would encounter due to the
reduced short-term memory that has begun to affect anything not monitored by
ActiveHome."
Well, Joe. There is one advantage to a short short-term memory. That advantage is that
you can hide your own Easter eggs every year. But as far as ActiveHome goes, it wont
forget.
