I saw little Suzie take her first steps today! Julia brought little Suzie over today just to show me how she can walk now. You know I can almost get used to this "grandmother" thing. It seems strange, having a grandchild. Now I know what it must have been like when Julia came into your life.

It was an amazing thing to watch this young beauty carefully put one foot in front another, almost like she was declaring her independence. She’s eating big girl food now, she can say almost three to four words, and she’s only celebrated a single birthday! Everyone, however, needs to take those steps that say I am secure, I can handle it — even when you’ve been doing it as long as you have, Mom.
